2022

We were delighted to be part of London Craft Week again this year, helping participants explore bookbinding and rediscover the joys of making with their hands to engage with the ultimate portable technology – the book. The participants learnt how to make a decorative bespoke slip case, a concertina to display their artwork, and a unique notebook in these practical bookbinding workshops which were suitable for all abilities.

LONDON CRAFT WEEK WORKSHOPS

Designer Bookbinders presented a day of creative, practical bookbinding workshops suitable for all abilities. For artists, writers and lover of beautiful books, participants joined us to learn this exciting and creative craft on Saturday 14th May.

These workshops, led by Fellows of Designer Bookbinders, introduced students to the skills, techniques, and materials used in basic bookbinding. They took place at Cockpit Arts, Cockpit Yard, Northington Street, London, WC1N 2NP.
