Ann Thornton

BIO

Ann Thornton attended adult education courses at Bolt Court under the tuition of Sally Lou Smith over a period of years. As a bookbinder she worked with traditional materials and methods.

Ann was elected a Licentiate of Designer Bookbinders in 1992 and a Fellow in 1995. Ann’s work is held in many public collections including the British Library; Royal Library of Copenhagen; Royal Library of the Hague as well and private collections in the UK.

Ann resigned from being a Fellow in 2021, becoming a Former Fellow of Designer Bookbinders.
