Associate membership is open to anyone interested in bookbinding – and in the arts of the book generally – who wish to support the activities of the society. Associates comprise the largest category of membership, with about seven hundred members in 28 countries – the majority in the European Union and North America. Associate members include binders, conservators, collectors, librarians, teachers, people from other crafts, and booklovers in general. Associate membership includes four quarterly newsletters and the Designer Bookbinders journal, ‘The New Bookbinder’.
