Contract: Permanent, Full-time (part-time & remote options considered)
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00–18:00 (38 hours/week)
Start Date: As soon as possible

About us
Peter Harrington is one of the world’s leading rare book dealers, and the largest antiquarian book dealer in Europe. The Chelsea Bindery, in conjunction with Peter Harrington specialises in traditional fine bookbinding and preservation boxes. The Chelsea Bindery is one of only a handful of binderies remaining that still practises the centuries old tradition of fine leather bookbinding, and prides itself on the quality of its work and only uses the finest materials. Now based in newly refurbished premises in Fulham Broadway, we are seeking highly skilled and meticulous individuals to join our bindery team.
The Role
Applicants should be, experienced, self-motivated, and dexterous and have at least 3 years’ experience in a bindery setting and demonstrable skill in one or more of the following:
- Book preparation
- Forwarding
- Operation of heavy machinery
- Box-making in both leather and cloth
- Gold finishing
